For GPs and referrers

Referral process, clinical focus areas, and how to reach the practice directly for case discussions.

Thank you for considering InFocus Psychology for your patient. This page summarises how referrals work, the presentations Lindsay commonly treats, and how to contact the practice directly.

Referral process

Lindsay accepts referrals under the Better Access initiative with a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan, as well as self-referrals and private-pay clients. Please forward the referral and treatment plan via secure messaging (Argus / Medical Objects), fax, or encrypted email.

Areas of clinical focus

Therapeutic approaches

Lindsay draws on several evidence-based modalities including CBT, ACT, schema therapy, EMDR, and attachment-informed approaches, tailored to the patient and their goals. See the Therapeutic Approaches page for detail.

Reporting back

With patient consent, a brief letter is sent to you after the initial assessment and at the review point of the treatment plan. If you would like a phone case discussion at any stage, please email the practice to arrange a time.

Urgent or complex? Please call the practice before sending the referral so we can triage appropriately. If a patient is in crisis, please direct them to their nearest emergency department, Lifeline (13 11 14), or the local acute mental health team.
